Schjødt wins a historical victory over the State of Norway! On 12 February 2010 the Supreme Court in plenary session pronounced a sentence in what the Norwegian press and several experts consider the most important civil court tried in the Supreme Court since World War II. The Court pronounced a sentence in favour of Schjødt’s clients, with a vote of 6 in favour and 5 against (!), in the so-called Shipowners’ Taxation case.

Extensive litigation and arbitration experience.
One of six lawyers from Schjødt ligitating largest offshore construction case in Norways history. Schjødt represented ExxonMobil, who won the case. The trial hearings took around 20 months to complete. (2001-2003)
Other litigation experience includes i.a. gas sales price review disputes, construction disputes (land and offshore) and ICC arbitration cases.
Main practice areas are litigation and arbitration, offshore construction, decommissioning, drilling contracts, gas sales contracts and general contract law.
