Acquisition of EG & Lindbak for NOK 5.4 bn EN)

Francisco Partners (FP) has completed acquisitions of AX IV EG Holding ApS (EG) and Lindbak Retail Systems AS (Lindbak) for an aggregate consideration of approx. NOK 5.4 billion.

On 3 April 2019, FP, one of the world's largest and most active technology-focused private equity funds with over USD 14 billion of raised capital to date, completed its parallel acquisitions of the Danish company EG from Axcel, and the Norwegian company Lindbak from Lindbak Gruppen AS, for an aggregate consideration of approx. NOK 5.4 billion. EG is a Scandinavian software company with more than 1,000 employees working from 15 competency centers in Scandinavia and Poland. EG develops, delivers and services its own software for more than 9,500 private and public clients. Lindbak provides business-critical IT solutions to ambitious retail chains within the areas of grocery, supermarkets, convenience and specialist trade. Lindbak's more than 130 employees serve more than 4,000 stores daily in Northern Europe from its offices in Oslo, Bergen, Trondheim and Gothenburg. Schjødt has, in tandem with international collaborative partners, assisted FP throughout both acquisitions until their successful close on 3 April 2019. Both transactions are insured and leveraged, and Schjødt also assisted the relevant acquisition vehicles with obtaining and tailoring the insurance- and financing packages.
