
Irina Fodchenko
Associate, PhD, Oslo Download CV Download vCardIrina is a dual-qualified lawyer in Norway and Russia with specialisation in petroleum and international law, experienced in both legal systems, cultures and industries.
Irina joined Schjødt's Oil, Energy & Shipping Department in September 2019 from a position as Legal Counsel at LUKOIL Overseas North Shelf AS, where she primarily assisted the company and its affiliated Ghana/Cameroon team in contractual, regulatory and procurement matters. Prior to that, she has been a research assistant and a PhD fellow at the Scandinavian Institute for Maritime Law, the University of Oslo and a visiting fellow at the University of Cambridge, Saint Petersburg State University and the Norwegian University Center in St. Petersburg. In addition, she has worked on research projects in the field of the Russian and Norwegian law by orders of Research Council of Norway and the Fridtjof Nansen Institute.
Irina has taught Norwegian and Russian law to undergraduates, held quest lectures on international petroleum law in the Arctic and Law of the Sea, been engaged as a supervisor and examiner by various academic institutions, published academic works and given presentations both nationally and internationally.
Irina has Norwegian, English, Russian and Ukrainian as her work languages.
