Klaus Henrik is specialized in financial markets legislation, insurance, pensions and asset management.
He advises domestic and international insurers, insurance intermediaries, asset managers, investment banks, credit institutions and financial holding companies. His experience spans across all fields of asset management and financial markets legislation, including fund formation, fund management and regulatory advice relating to collective investment vehicles.
Klaus Henrik is also highly specialised in insurance and pensions, and is being instructed by domestic and foreign insurers, pension funds, insurance intermediaries and other industry players. His assistance includes establishment of life- and non-life insurance companies and pension funds, regulatory assistance, product development, transactions and restructuring of insurance businesses, claims and litigation, and recourse and cost reduction tuning. He also advises commercial companies and trade unions in matters related to insurance and pensions, including in M&As.
He litigates regularly before Norwegian courts and is admitted to the Supreme Court.
He has authored a number of books and articles within asset management, insurance, pensions, banking and financial regulatory matters.
Klaus Henrik is ranked among Norway’s leading lawyers within financial regulatory, insurance and reinsurance and pensions, including by Legal 500, IFLR 1000, PLC Which Lawyer and is praised as a "standout practitioner" and "regulatory expert". He has been consecutively ranked among Norway´s top 10 insurance lawyers since 2013 and was ranked No. 1 insurance lawyer in Norway by his peers in the Norwegian Financial Daily's lawyers survey 2017. He has been chairman of the control committee in a life insurance company and holds positions as chairman of the board and member of the board in various commercial and financial companies. He has formerly been working as a lawyer in BAHR and as a partner with Steenstrup Stordrange (SANDS).
