Head of Dispute Resolution

Per was admitted to the Norwegian Supreme Court in 2002. His main fields of practice are contracts and property law, negotiations and litigation/arbitration. Per is a leading specialist in the field of dispute resolution.  He has extensive experience with disputes relating to company law, buy-outs and M&A, stock exchange and securities legislation, contracts, real estate, professional liability (including board member liability) and insurance as well as maritime law and offshore matters.

Per has considerable international experience from numerous countries, including three years in Japan, where he also was the Norwegian Consul General for West-Japan and two years in Singapore. Per also has extensive experience as a board member, both in Norwegian companies and companies in other countries.

Per M. Ristvedt is the author of numerous legal books and articles. He is also a much sought after speaker for both lawyers and clients/companies. Prior to joining Schjødt, Per was a partner in Wikborg Rein, where he was the Managing Partner for eight years and also headed their Singapore office for a period. Per completed his cand. jur. in 1991 and was also an Assistant Researcher and Lecturer at the law school in Oslo. He has subsequently studied abroad, inter alia at Harvard Law School, Harvard Business School and Wharton University of Pennsylvania.
