Tord specialises in securities law, in particular securities markets regulation, and is part of Schjødt's Capital Markets department. Tord holds a Master of Laws from the University of Bergen and was an exchange student at China University of Science and Law in Beijing.

Tord joined Schjødt in 2021 and came from a position in the Financial Regulatory Authority of Norway (Finanstilsynet), where he worked with the supervision of trading venues and central securities depositories (CSDs) for the Section for Infrastructure. He has participated in projects such as inspection of CSD account operator Anti-Money Laundering measures, assessing an application for CSD authorisation, creating national regulations for CSDs and a report on Short Sale in the Norwegian Market.

Tord also acted as the section expert on anti-money laundering. In addition to this, he has handled violation penalty cases for the Section for Market Conduct related to reporting of short sale, major shareholdings and persons discharging managerial responsibilities transactions and working in the Norwegian Short Sale Register.
