Trond has been one of Norway's leading employment lawyers for a generation. He established the firms employment practice group back in the mid 90s and was the head of the group until January 2013. He specialises in employment and labor law matters across a variety of sectors, with a particular focus on advocacy and day-to-day legal counseling. He also provides legal advice in the fields of immigration law, pension and privacy and data protection law. In 2014, he published the book "Legal Guide to the Norwegian Holiday Act". Trond also lectures at the Norwegian Business School.
He joined the firm as an associate in 1987. Prior to joining Schjødt, he spent six years as a legal advisor with The Ministry of Petroleum and Energy. Trond has been a partner in Schjødt since 1990.
He is a graduate of the Faculty of Law of the University of Oslo, where he specialised in petroleum law. He has argued cases before district and appeal courts, as well as The Supreme Court and the Labor Court.
